Inspiring (Aleksandar Marodic - 12th Jan 12)

Hi Chris/Clark

I just wanted to say that your book that I am currently reading is the most inspiring thing I have read in a long time. Funny enough, I came across it when I was searching for any travel narratives on the Yukon, and having found none on that your book just pulled me immediately and in taking a short look I thought "Well, this is even better". Anyways, I myself plan to go to the Canadian Arctic in a few years time and was wondering for a bit of advice. Although Baffin Island is not as extreme where you went, is there any advice on safety you may offer on self guided hiking for Auyuittuq National Park? I look forward to hearing from you and once again truly great book :)

With 1500+ messages, and only 15 showing each page, could you have your webmaster make a link to page one of the messages so i can read your emails and responses in order, rather than click older pages 100+ times? Would help those reading the book who want to do same i reckon to be able to read them in order?

Physical differences (Cont) (Rich Clough - 11th Jan 12)

Saw the answer to question below from earlier, so thanks for that...

But what other adventure books like this do you recommend? True or Fiction?!

I read Shackleton's diaries, a bit dry in style, but at times you get right there with them (minus cold); but have you any favourites? Your prose was very good, you write well! :)

I also grew up with a lad who is now an adventurer - email me direct if you want his website as i am sure you would both have a few things you could chat about or maybe collaborate with on? I would be happy to try to link a few like minded people if it might help - he's English in Africa so maybe out your networks?!

Physical diferences (Rich Clough - 11th Jan 12)

Hi, I'm nearly finished your book, and its great - very inspiring!

You mention at the end of the 05 trip, you have your blood taken to compare how it differs and how you had physically fatigued and changed etc.

So what happened? What were the changes? Did you lose alot of weight, or maybe gain it in muscle? any thing else notable. how much longer physically could you have carried on with extra supplies health wise etc?

Filming (Allessandra Benetti - 1st Jan 12)

Love your story and looking forward to the book. I was wondering who was along with you that did the filming and photography of the two of you on the trek? Did you walk ahead and set up cameras or was there a crew with you?

Hi Allessandra! I WISH we had a film crew! Hahah. That would have made life somewhat easier out there. But no, all we had was ourselves - so every time we wanted a photo or some video, we'd have to stop, unshackle from the cart, get out the camera a tripod, go and set it up, start some kinda timer, and run back, shackle back up and make it look like we were hauling, and then wait for the camera to go off, then run back and get the camera after! Haha, no wonder it took us so long to get anywhere hey! =)
