Chris and Clark are OK, still at a point about 3km South of where they completed the crossing of Victoria Island. An initial attempt to be picked up by boat was frustrated by unsuitable weather for a landing, but they have several options and are hopeful of getting away soon. Battery levels are still very low so they are unlikley to be able to check or reply to email or Say Hi comments until after pick-up. No photo with this update. Andrew Bray 23:22 UTC Monday 11th August Our live expedition updates are written on our tiny ASUS Eee PC 900 laptops, and sent via Iridium 9505A satellite phones from Landwide Satellite Solutions, using email compression software xGate from Global mareine Networks! Thanks guys - it's the perfect set up!

Thanks for the update, I just became aware of this adventure when it was finished! But started tracking back to read and was wondering what was going on since day 70! That must be the longest 5 days of this trip. Congratulations Chris and Clark!!

Sorry to read about the delay while waiting for evacuation from the beach. How creative can you be with dried food? The weather must change soon to allow the great escape following the great adventure.
